About Rooted Acres
Rooted Acres is a family-run farm built on a deep love for agriculture, animals, and meaningful outdoor experiences. Nestled in Kemptville, it’s a place where families can slow down, connect with nature, and create lasting memories together.

Co-founders Tiffany and Conor have brought their lifelong passions to life through the farm. Conor, originally a dairy farmer from Shawville, Québec, has spent his life immersed in agriculture and hands-on work. Conor left his family farm in Shawville to pursue a career in Landscaping & Property Management, overseeing major projects like Parliament Hill, including Canada’s 150 celebrations. He brings those large-scale planning skills to Rooted Acres, where he designs and builds the unique play spaces, animal areas, and family-friendly experiences that make the farm so special

Tiffany, born and raised in Ottawa, discovered her love for horses at just five years old and has been connected to animals ever since. Together, Tiffany and Conor have built a life centred around community. They met in 2009, and in 2011, they began building PROCARE from the ground up. Scroll down to read more about that story!

By blending her expertise in early childhood education with a lifelong love of animals, Tiffany has created a program where children and families can learn, explore, and grow through real farm experiences. Rooted Acres is a natural extension of ProCare’s values—bringing education beyond the classroom and into the open air, where curiosity, play, and connection thrive.

Rooted Acres is more than just a farm—it’s a place to play, learn, and reconnect with the outdoors.

PROCARE's STORY
Rooted Acres is deeply connected to Tiffany’s background in early childhood education and her commitment to nurturing children through hands-on, meaningful experiences.

As the co-owner of ProCare Family Centre, a licensed childcare centre serving Ottawa families since 2011, Tiffany has spent years creating supportive, enriching environments for young children. She also contributes to the Early Childhood Education program at Algonquin College, helping shape the next generation of educators.

In 2025, Tiffany completed the Play, Learn and Teach Outdoors course through Algonquin College, further strengthening her belief in the importance of learning through nature. This philosophy became the foundation for what Rooted Acres is today.
